The Werts Pit is an extremely unique tract of land near the Greenwood/Saluda county line. It was a clay pit for brick in the mid 1900's. Since then it has been a timber and recreational property. At the top of the property lies a deer food plot. The topography gradually falls from the road back to a pond and a wood duck hole. Behind the pond is a little hardwood slew. There are great house or cabin sites up at the front of the property, and really cool trails along the ponds. The property feels much larger than it is an has a lot of features. The pines were planted in 2007 and are due for a thinning that will provide income to a buyer. Land is best toured with the listing agent and appointments need to be set up during deer season.
